I have a 99 oldsmobile cutlass and in the morning when it's cool my air conditioning works great. When it gets warm or hot outside the a/c doesn't turn on. You can hear it cut on when it want's to! Why does it work in the cool weather but not the hot?

May wish to check the cooling fan(s) for the radiator/condenser. Higher temperatures outside mean higher pressuures in the a/c system. If the fans are not working properly, the pressure will go so high that the high pressure cutoff switch will cut off the compressor, untill the system pressure drops. When the compressor turns back on, the cycle repeats.
